so many kind dog lovers who do so much, including doglost.co.uk and many sanctuaries and invidiuals BUT IF I READ THESE MESSAGES CORRECTLY THE MICROCHIP DETAILS WERE NOT UP TO DATE? so much time effort money heartache worry phone calls facebook msgs emails etc etc etc are saved by CORRECT CHIP DETAILS and CORRECT ID TAGS. takes so little time and money to have both -

We are a rescue created to help Bull breeds. As SimonH says the dogs have to move to wherever there is space for them - sometimes the length of the UK. We use foster homes and in the case of my latest addition (emergency foster, let down by many other fosters, back to me on foster and then adopted) she was found in the North of England, the only foster space we could find for her was in Wales (which did not work out due to the resident Golden Retriever attacking her so she had to be moved), she then ended up in Essex (no cost for that transport as I took her all the way from the Welsh coast to the East of England) - change of circumstances meant she then needed a new foster home after a few months, was messed around by someone saying when she turned up that she was too big (how big do they think a staffie x greyhound is likely to be??), which is when she then travelled back across the UK - with most of the run donated by volunteers - to my place. Sorry about the essay but trying to explain why dogs have to move so far from where they were found sometimes!
SimonH
The pound pullers have many rescue contacts all over the country including the outer islands - they share like mad the dogs needing space. Some are easier to place than others for various reasons - and quite a few bull breeds go up to Scottish rescues - the pound pullers also raise funds for these dogs costs including travel and vaccinations etc. Amazing team of volunteers who fight so hard to keep these dogs safe and a chance of a future.

Wow, what a Wonderful story #HappyReunite
HOW on earth do these Missing Dogs 'travel' so far ?
Because there is no room in Kennels & they are moved around ?
BLESS YOU ALL who were involved in Her being ale to go back home.
I have shared Rescue's details to my F/book & will Tweet too.

I managed okay via paypal....

I have been unable to donate, either with my Paypal account or my bank, not sure if there is a problem with the link ? I managed to donate by going to the UnderheughArkRescueCharity website, Just in case anybody else is having the same problem x
allimac
Fantastic. This has made my day. And will definitely make a donation. Too many strays (esp. staffies) are killed simply due to lack of room and understanding. Overjoyed at the happy ending!!

Pound pullers are brilliant and save so many lives.Without them Boo may have been PTS (along with hundreds of other stray dogs). The rescue support network for dogs in the UK deserves so many thanks. As does Dogs Lost and other support services. There is an untold story out there of the hundreds of kind dog lovers who save lives due to endless hours of fund raising and pure hard work.We salute you.xx

Such wonderful news .I am so pleased for the Owner that she was saved. Sadly so many Staffords get put down for no reason other than there is no room any where. Well done all involved espicially the Pound Pullers and the Rescue who gave her a second chance. And well done SimonH for posting her on here if I say so myself it is the best Group , so many volunteers come on here and help in any way they they can even if its only sharing it all helps get the word out. Welcome home Beautiful Boo xxxxx

Totally agree Mandy! For volunteer groups like us donations are spent directly on dogs...if you are reading this update...and feeling good....be part of the next reunited dog... please consider donating to Underheugh ark...link on earlier post. Reunited stories like this only happen because of these volunteers and the hard unpaid work they do.
Mandy
So so glad there was a happy ending for Boo!!. Well done to the Pound Pullers for recognising her! If anyone reading this can support The Underheugh Ark (link in SimonH's post) they would be very grateful. They have a super reputation and rescue so many dogs that may otherwise have run out of time. I know they too will be delighted to have Boo reunited with her familyLast edited: 2017-04-21 21:52:53 by Mandy
SimonH
She was with https://www.facebook.com/The-Underheugh-Ark-Rescue-531939926873298/?ref=page_internal in Scotland - the rescue checked with the owners vet who gave a glowing report and hence Boo was returned to her family :)

Boo was found and luckily the pound pullers who save the lives of the dogs from that pound spent a great deal of time and money to keep her alive after her 7 days were up - the owner is in contact with the pound pullers.
