David tells me she has not lost too much weight and is pretty good considering she has been out in hard frosts. There was a deer carcass nearby so she may have been scavenging that.

I am so pleased for you David and for Chip who I am sorry to say I never thought you would find her alive .I am so glad to be wrong :)
David
Thank you again for all your support. Happy to report we have found her alive. She is now having a good feed and sleep. Found her along a hedgerow basking in the sun. We are all over the moon.

Going to be having a run in and around the Snaith area today, is Chip still missing?

Poor little lass I hope she is found soon .

Dogs have been out searching today but I have not heard any updates. It is only 29 miles north of me and we have no snow. The snow seems to have hit the north west rather than north east.
ClaireC
Not sure if there is snow up there at the moment!
BorderCol
What about a tracker dog as you know she left from your garden? Before the scent is too old.
ClaireC
Diane the Found one is black and white and Chip is brown and white. Thank you for thinking of Chip though!
ClaireC
Please can you check any ditches, swimming pools, ponds and even water troughs used for animals! It is not unknown for elderly pets with these medical conditions to take themselves off, become completely disorientated, and curl up under hedges etc! If you have any Royal Mail post boxes please put a couple of posters in them do that posties can carry with them.
Mary
David/Juliet I'm pleased to say it won't be the one found in Swindon as she was found on 2nd March before Chip went missing. David have you put posters through your neighbours doors and asked them to check anywhere chip could have got shut in. Have you been given scenting advice. Put things with yours or her scent on in the garden, on the gate posts etc. If chip can hear any sounds at all e.g. a squeaky toy, try using that. I do so hope you find her soon.

Hi - I saw a post on Facebook today about an elderly female spaniel that was found wandering & ill in Swindon. They said she was a Springer but she looked a lot like Chip. She was microchipped but the details were out of date - she was registered as Fern. Unfortunately it also said that the vet has put her to sleep so I hope for your sake that it wasn't Chip. However, to put your mind at rest here is the link. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/15169378.Council_plea_to_find_owner_of_sick_stray_spaniel_Fern/

We were working in the garden, turned around and she had vanished. We live in woodland that we have searched high and low, even with a thermal image device but to no avail.
