At least the owner didn`t just abandon her.. I also know from from a close relative, and feiends that Staffies can be boisterous, even when they are older, but are very good with children. I think they are known as the "Nannies of the dog world" As for the "Mouthing, a dog owner was told by an animal behaviourist to just ignore it, and stop giving treats from her pocket.. I asm sure that dog owners on Doglost have had "Mouthing problems" with their dogs too. She is gorgeous, so am sure she will find a lovely new home; someone whio can "Cure" her "Mouthing problem" :-) Keep us postedLast edited: 2017-03-16 08:54:24

It is sad when any dog ends up in rescue but at least when a dog is handed in with as much HONEST information as the previous owner can give then it does give the dog a much better chance of finding the right forever home thereafter .. sadly some folk tell lies when handing a dog in because a) they are just glad to "get rid " b) they are ashamed to admit they have not done the training or have neglected c) there is an underlying health issue they don`t want to/can`t deal with. By giving a rescue the true details of a dog, good and bad, then it can mean the dog doesn`t get rehomed out to the totally wrong home and end up yet again back in kennels. At least this owner has been honest ... and at least the dog hasn`t been sold on for money on a website, or simply dumped ..that is also sadly the case when some folk no longer want to keep their dog as many stories on here and in rescues will show :-( Beauty will hopefully find herself in a home where she is truly wanted now, with someone who will continue her training. She looks very sweet.

So sad to hear her owner has given up on her. Shame they didn't correct her behaviour. Hope she finds a good responsible owner this time round.Last edited: 2017-03-14 20:08:54 by Jenny2018
