Benji had surgery to sew up his leg last night, he has internal bruising and had a pneumothorax (burst lung) due to the impact of the car, the vets at Ferring Vets drained off 1.5 litres of air. He is back home sleeping soundly but will be seeing the vets again today. Wishing Benji a speedy recovery. Stay safe little one x

Benji was found in a garden very close to his home. He has been taken to the vets to have a cut on his leg stitched and to be treated for dehydration. Many thanks to all that helped x

Great to see Benji in the blue, hope he is not badly injured. Ridgebacks are such lovely dogs, I was lucky enough to have one for nearly 17 years. Thanks for the update.

spoken to owner this afternoon, she is enormously grateful for the help she has been receiving, the local community have been amazing. Benji has been seen the the following areas - Mendip Close, Elm Avenue/North Lane which I believe was the last sighting. He was knocked by the car in Sea Lane and seen running towards the Street, he has also been seen by the one stop shop and fincham Close. Please can everyone bear in mind he will be very scared and most probably injured, so please please do not chase him nor call out for him. although very frendly he will be in survival mode. Please if you sight him keep him in sight and immediately call the owners. Vets, Dog Warden, Wadurs and Police have been informed.

How sad

I think that I have met this dog. Beautiful boy. I have laminated a few posters for my neighbours and myself to display here and on the East Preston Greensward.
