Possibly left if owners were acting illegally and someone saw them, they would drive off without a thought for their dogs. My own rescue was found like this and it has taken years to get her up to ideal weight.Happier times ahead for these 3 x

Beautiful dogs! Sometimes they get left behind if they won't bring prey back or don't return after a chase but not usually left together like this? They're kept underweight to make their prey drive stronger but tbh I've seen pet salukis this thin, not something I like but they are incredibly slender dogs. Could they have been stolen or escaped from a breeder maybe?

The Grizzle and the Black & white parti colour look at first sighting to be pure. Difficult to tell with the red & white parti. The Black and White hound looks very very similar to one, 'Ishika' that is being rehomed by Evesham Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue, and she too was found in an emaciated state also I believe having recently whelped. ? from the same source. That source needs to be found and prosecuted.
But if you look at the muscling on the upper thighs of the red and white dog, it's obvious what they've been used for! Hope they survive their ordeal and find respectful loving homes.

Could these Saluki`s have been racing dogs, and abandoned when no loner useful? I`m sure Salukis can be used for racing. Hopefully they will soon find a loving home. And at least they are safe now

There seem to be a lot of Saluki's being abandoned recently or is it just me thinking this? Hope these three are stolen and have lovely homes looking for them x

These poor dogs thank goodness they were picked up .

We took all dogs to vets on arrival at pound. The poorest dog weighs just 12 Kg a good 10 Kg underweight. There has been a huge increase in abandoned lurchers/salukis in this area and a 20 mile radius in the past few months.
