Thank you to everyone who helped in the search for Fiz. To say we are delighted to have her back must be the biggest understatement of the year. She has now had all her matted fur clipped out and apart from a few bald patches is looking amazing well and fighting fit. We are building her weight up slowly but she is loving her walks. We still cannot believe it. So so happy I could cry all over again. Thank you 8-)

❤️ - UPDATE OF FIZZ'S VISIT TO THE VET

Great news again everyone - Fizz has had a scan as there was a concern she may be pregnant - this came back negative thankfully. She also had some bloods done and had a full MOT and other than being under weight for her age and for the trauma she has been through she has a clean bill of health!!

She has to have 6 small meals a day to start with as she is likely to have a very upset tummy but after that she should fit straight back in to normal life!! Happy little girl and happy family :D :D

We now wonder whether she has been living out for a while as her coat appears to look like it has lightened in the sun but until she is groomed its hard to know for sure - all we do know is she is home, safe, healthy and starting to be back to her old self.

What an amazing end to a very stressful situation. ❤️😃

From Fizz f/b ....****Further update**** - Gayle has just called me and she now has her. It would appear poor Fizz has not had the best of lives in the past 4 and a half months. She is skin and bone, weighing in at only about 9kg, she was found wandering down a street (so either escaped or was let go) and seen by the aunty of the warden who had seen her on here and posters and recognised her - thank god!!! Gayle said her coat doesn't even look like Fizz and appears to have been dyed to a ginger colour and is terribly matted, they are not 100% sure yet as they are off to the vets in a couple of hours but she may also be pregnant (not confirmed but her stomach looks a little swollen and vulva large, but gayle said she has had a previous litter so vulva was large anyway so she might not be and we hope not as she is nearly 13 and has a heart murmur so would need to get her spayed) BUT - She had her tail down when Gayle arrived and once the forms were filled in and they were ready to go she was giving her 'Bear hugs' (owners words) as she always did and had a wagging tail. She seems quite calm and happy and is now on her way home to be reunited with her 4 brothers and sisters and the rest of the family. I have advised Gayle to feed little and often and maybe chicken and rice for a couple of days as probably will have an upset tummy and just to keep her close and give lots of loving, I think she will be just fine!! :D xxxx

I HAVE SOME TEAR JERKING AND UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING NEWS!!!

Just spoken to Gayle on the phone and after 4 months apart and after many sad tears shed and thoughts of never seeing her old girl again - today she got the call she and many others have been longing for - FIZZ HAS BEEN FOUND!!!! :D

An aunty of a dog warden in Bradford called up this morning to say she had been scanned and the details flashed up as fizz and as being stolen! We do not know anymore details than that at the moment.

Gayle is currently on her way to pick her up and will be taking her straight to the vets for a check over to make sure all is well.

This girl is 13 this summer and has been missing for 4 months - Gayle believes that the reason the lady was so concerned seeing fizz and what made her report her was poster awareness and the group making her too hot to handle. :) So THANK YOU EVERYONE you have just made one family very very happy!!! :D

And lastly to Gayle Waring - We have had many conversations on PM and phone where emotions were running high, hope was being lost and my advice felt as though it was not enough but you hung in there and got those posters up (which I know you struggled terribly with) and took on board all advice and help and you now have your dream result.

LOVE HER MORE THAN EVER, KEEP HER CLOSE AND ENJOY EVERY SECOND :D :D :D ❤️❤️

Lucy hegan, 113267 has a full tail, so could be Fizz, have you checked? It is now urgent as she has done her 7 days and is due to be rehomed. Fizz's microchip could have been removed or not reading so it is worth checking.

Possible sighting of a chocolate cocker spaniel in plessey woods country park near bedlington.. the dog there has been running round wood with no owner for a couple of hours if anybody is in that area and go check it out. The person that has seen this dog can't get near it, very scared!
