statement just received from TVP press office

Please find below the comments via our press office that has just come through.
I appreciate that it is quite short and to the point but would be grateful if you would place on your site if you are happy to do so.

Following enquiries into this incident, the RSPCA and Thames Valley Police are satisfied that no crime has been committed in relation to this incident, and that sadly the dog died as a result of a road traffic collision.

I hope any CCTV footage will find the monsters that did this to a beautiful little puppy. Jayne, you are so right, this has profoundly effected all who follow DogLost and also not forgetting Facebook and every other sharing platform. This is devastating news..and has effected alot of our helpers and co-ordinators...its going to be a long journey until we can stop this happening ...to do so we must not cut off by turning away because its too upsetting...but work together to expose those lowlife that cause so much pain ... poor Chanel never had a chance to enjoy to fruitition her loving future and instead her trust in humans was her down fall...I and all of you must do something to catch these people.
What everyone of you can do right now is get all your dogloving friends to join doglost so we can have more people we can send emails to in the local areas which equals more people sharing on social media...we already have nearly 110,000 so if each of you could recruit 5 people to join we would soon have 1/2 million voices!!!! We need the word to get out quicker....on the fact that ealier posts suggest no media...is anyone able to find out more? who are the local RSPCA...is there anything we can do to assist with getting publicity out...Will forward to our police co-ordinator Jane to see whats happening. And chase up with local policeas bound to be CCTV footage at or around the coffee shop.

We are totally devastated to tell you that Chanel's body has been found today. She was murdered by the piece of scum that took her. Her poor owners have her body and are awaiting RSPCA collection for a post mortem.

It would appear we were just a few hours too late getting that last bit of vital information we needed to get action from the police.

Thank you all for all you shares and help with postering etc. RIP baby Chanel
