If the owner wud like more help I wud be willing to commit to helping her. It was myself who helped to get rusty and fly home after being stolen by scum but this is a different type of story but I don't mind trying, if I help though I will give it my all to try n get answers as to what has gone on. I live in eye u see. Is it true that on night he went someone spotted him nr the skate park? That's what I heard.

Another shot of "Marley" in this one of a white dog which is why I double took n thought reminds me of missing smokey..does anyone know history of this dog or can enquiry as they shud be able to give history. There's no pic of his tail sadly.

This dog that was recently rehome by a local rescue reminds me of smokey a bit so just want to make people aware. Ravenswood pet rescue. ..they deal with the dog warden and take strays picked up in peterborough area so want someone to know. Just in case. The same dog appears in a few other shots in the background which is how I originally spotted him so I ended up looking at animals recently rehomed.

Today I have chased Peterborough press to get something in asap!.... Juls has kindly started to put up posters in and around Peterborough, all being well these will stay up longer now they are laminated. I have also sent out comms to all friends / family to start sharing on FB, Twitter, SnapChat etc. So far 100+ posts are circulating!... Over 5000+ people have seen this post online, please please please get this on your FB page as your Profile pic... Find Smokey this Easter and make this OAP's Easter she will never forget!...

If you think you have been sold Smokey please take him to the vets to get his chipped scanned to confirm it is him. You will not be in any trouble at all, we just want him home. If you have paid for him I will refund you the costs of what you paid to ensure you are not out of pocket.

Admin, Juls and I will be meeting up on Wednesday, hopefully posters will all be up by Easter weekend. Does anyone have FB that they can start circulating Smokey on? Maybe if we can get the word out on FB and people to change their Profile pic might also put it in peoples faces a little more?

Hi, I have rang most kennels in Peterborough surrounding areas to ask and aware, and rescues in a area . Think getting press involved would be a great idea mozzasoft the Peterborough evening telegraph , might do a story will have a look at there website , if could laminate some posters would be great too if that ok and met up x

Mozasoft, I think you should do all that you suggest..press should pick up on this as owner is an OAp and it seem as though smokey was her companion. Whoever has needs Smokey needs to give him back now....you will be found.

I am sure the owner would be grateful for any help and actions that helpers could offer. I would think the owner is so busy out looking/searching they don't always have time to see the most up to date messages that have been left on site.

My smokey still missing there is only 1 poster left that is Eye co op on there notice board i simply cant afford to get more posters done i am a oap ive been looking ever since Smokey went had no sightings somebody rang up n said they thought he was in wansdford kennels so rang up the lady said noim very dissapointed as ive seen so many dogs gone missing on facebook and have been found why not my smokey ???

Went garage too not allowed poster up , friends doing Facebook getting more shares now , done crowland garden centre and post boxes , Sainsbury, Tesco , Morrison's,werrington and Walton , need just to poster everywhere as dogs travel . My friend did eye kennels so are aware ,will poster Parnell next and pop in farm shop just outside eye . X

Been in eye today gave poster to pub , hairdressers and spar shop and all post boxes , have done some surrounding area garden centre and dog grommets and more post boxes , will go out again tomorrow , posters need doing in eye village as got wet only saw 4 so if any one can help or Sheila could do village if I do outside . There is a gypsy site just on the edge of eye maybe he had gone on there so will do Parnwell ? X x

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (109599)
• Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
• You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
• Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
• If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
