We have had no further calls with possibles of Ruby. We are continuing to send out flyers to vets and dog sanctuarys with the new picture. We have had a couple of calls from local vets saying that people had told them Ruby had been found which of course is not correct, so they were happy to keep the posters up which was good news. Thanks again for everyones help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Such a shame it wasn't Ruby but "onwards and upwards" as they say. At least Ruby's owner knows people are actively keeping a look out for her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for keeping a look out for Ruby. I have checked the national pet register web site and the Spaniel found in Yorkshire is not Ruby. So we must keep looking. Thanks again for your help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Seen a found springer spaniel bitch on nationalpetregister.org. Finder guesses at about 4/5. Found in West Yorkshire but you never know. It has a picture on the site. It was only added yesterday. Finder has left their details. Good luck x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Too far away to be of an practical help. Has Ruby's owner tried putting posters (smaller ones if necessary) under wiper blades of cars parked in any nearby supermarket carparks? That way word would be spread further afield. Good luck. Wishing Ruby home with you very soon xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We still have no news of Ruby. We have put up around 100 posters in the Haslemere Midhurst Petersfield triangle, we have written to all the vets we can find (around 40) and also been in touch with dog wardens in the three bordering counties as well as RSPCA. If anyone thinks we have missed something please let us know. In the meantime we are grateful for all the help we have received and hope to get some good news soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Do not know how relavant this might be, but I was at Rogate Car Boot sale on Saturday 15th Sept and I had Thelmas poster in the window of my car and a lady came up and read it and said that someone in Haslemere has put a notice in Haslemere Tesco that they have found a dog. She could not give any details about breed ect but I asked for the Tescos telephone number it is the Customer Service Number that she gave me and it is 01428673700 she said to ring this number and they would be able to give the number of the person who has the dog (she did not know if it was a dog or bitch) I have let my son, two brothers and husband know about Ruby (and Scott from Petwoth) Will mail a posters to Chichester D/Ws both Ruby and Scotts. I am out Petwoth way tomorrow will leave earlier and have a scout around will also put posters up where I can. stay safe poppets until you are found.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Ruby well. Stay safe Ruby, until you are home x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
