Natalie I might be wrong but I think they mean the chip contact details are out of date. Have you contacted the chip company to give them your current contact numbers?

couldn't the chip number be used to confirm if Ares or not? Natalie if you're having trouble getting through to the kennels / SDK have you a family member or friend in the UK who could call on your behalf?

The dog in the pound times out on 19/11/2016 I saw him today, he is very sad, and doesn't want to be there. I did already post below, he is NOT neutered xx

Natalie - did you phone the Kennels as suggested by Margaret below, as well as SDK - you have only 7 days to claim a dog then it becomes the property of the kennels.

The dog in the link below is the same dog that is in the pound, ie the previous link, (with SDK) he has been named POLO for identification. Our pound pullers are searching for a rescue place, should he not be claimed xx

The number of the dog pound is 01462 730464, this is where the dog is, it will easier to answer questions to verify whether it is Ares or not. xx

Natalie. You need to call petslog. Micro chips don't generally automatically update the database when scanned. It is reliant on the person scanning calling the chip company for ownership details. The company should then call you if you have updated them to say your dog is missing or stolen.

I agree with jenkins. We've heard the story of the slipped or fallen out or failed to work chip so many times.
Is he still chipped in your name? Perhaps you could check with the chip company to see if it has been flagged that he's been scanned since he left you.

Hi Natalie - sometimes microchips move and are not detected by scanners so wouldn't go on that alone.

The lighting is very bright and masks the dark markings.
If you think this is Ares and his microchip can't be matched, you'll probably need to visit Leigh to convince yourself either way. Don't rely on phone calls or emails.

Natalie, Doglost won't be able to answer your question on the Found page. You need to ring Leigh Dogs and Cats Home urgently, before he gets rehomed.
Tell them you're his owner. They'll only speak to owners.
I really hope its him and you get him back soon.
