Hi Janie, thank you for your kind words of advice. We have done absolutely everything we can think of to bring her home. She's still not back and I'm struggling to cope. I miss her so much.

Sometimes people feed cats thinking they are strays, not realizing they have an owner. as she is friendly this may be the case. Pawes xd. she will be home very soon Also cats can survive without food for quite a while (If locked in somewhere) One cat (Stowaway) lasted for THREE WEEKS without food . they will lick something for them to get moistureLast edited: 2016-09-25 07:33:44

As Tabitha is spayed she should not be too far away. check shedsm garages, greenhouses etc in cse locked in. Put some tuna in her dish, and call her; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put something with bher scent on into a clean container, such as her blanket/bedding/soft toy, along woith something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry. Wkipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too etc. Takre a walk around the area, holding something with her scent on, and rattle some treats such as dreamies. Someone may be feeding her (Common problem) Try a squesky toy as it may attract her attention Try this too. Warm up some chicken in the moicrowave as the aroma may help bring her home. As suggsted poster arouhnd the area, and pout "Lost" posters through doors too.

Ps When asking neighbours to check their outbuildings etc ask them to check thoroughly as sometimes cats will hide behind something within that building.

Pss spayed female cats usually only have a territory of about 2/3 garden spaces as to where they loive. she should be in the area somewhere. The only other thing a cat may go missing is if there is area who is dominant. they can chase a cat out of its own territory, but the cat usually comes back, and this doesnt happen often. hope pretty Tabitha is home soon

Seeks, thank you so much for your kind comments. We have just returned from looking for her once again but still no sign. We have called and called, and shaken the Dreamies packet. We've gone right up to garages and called her name, waited but still nothing. We have done letterbox drops with leaflets all over our estate, plus ones on the lamp posts too. Her photo has been shared on social media quite a few times so that's good people are on the lookout for her. I've emailed the local council too so they are on the lookout. She is chipped so if she was found then hopefully someone would get her scanned and they would call me. I have done everything I can think of. All we can do is wait and hope for the best I guess :'( it's so hard. I'm so pleased your Grockle came home. I am praying the same thing happens for my Tabs.

I am sorry to read your lovely baby is missing.

Get posters and leaflets out all over that area and beg folk to check out outhouses and sheds. Its been so hot she may have found a shed door open and slipped in then been shut in. I lost one of mine a few years ago and leaflet through letter boxes. It turned out my Grockle had been shut in a shed only 5 doors down.

Its a awful call to make but check with the highways and your local council road environmental dept...Just in case but I am sure she has only wondered off, got confused and not sure where her home is.

I really hope you will soon have your lovely girl home. Sending you hopes and have shared and tweeted xx
