Hi Jenny - thank you, thank you for continuing on spreading the word - I have just looked at all the historical comments below and you are there again & again since the beginning of 2017 would you believe it - that's extra-ordinary - Bella, if she is still alive, is entering into her senior citizen years - I dont know exactly her age as she is a rescue staffie but in 2016 when she was lost she was probably about seven years old - so it may be that sooner or later we have to accept that she has naturally passed on and just keep the special place in my heart that I have always had for her warm. With best wishes to you, Victoriax

Hi Victoria, I'm still sharing Bella's image on social media in the hope of someone seeing her. Hope you are doing okay and hope you hear about Bella very soon to end your nightmare. Love to you, Jenny xxx

Dear HanL24 - thank you so much for looking out for Magical Bella - I have just looked on the link you v kindly sent me and the page says that the advert has been removed - I scrolled down through & on to make sure there were no staffies and unless I am mistaken there are no longer any black staffies adults for that link. I do really appreciate enormously you contacting - what a kind thing to do - warm wishes, Victoriax

Dear Deborah - I just wanted to go public on your kindness after you so thoughtfully messaged me - as you know after our tel call but for others info, I called the relevant vets and happily for the lovely staffie she was picked up by her owner this morning. It is SO very heart warming when people like Deborah and all of you who have messaged me previously, get in touch with possibilities. Thank you bigly, Deborah for caring. With appreciation, Victoria

Unfortunately the Staffy post I saw on FB recently hasn't turned out to be Bella. Not the best News for Victoria, however, couldn't not try my longshot. Never give up. Deborah x

Dearest Beautiful Bella - the staffie who came up to me when I was looking to re-home a rescue dog wagging her gorgeous tail. I was bewitched on the spot - eventually she was well enough to come home with me - and a year later she disappeared in Rendlesham Forest ..the guilt, the deep desperation. Its very difficult to contemplate both her being with someone else who must have decided to keep her rather than return her to me as a micro-chipped and disk-ed dog or her no longer being alive these 4 years with me never having said goodbye. Dearest Magical Bella - In My Heart Always.

Missing 4 years....please re-share to get Bella home to Victoria x
Bella
Hi Jenny - still plugging away for Bella - she is still the photo for my personal FB so I see her often although of course she never materialises. I hope you and yours have been surviving these extra-ordinary times and who would have thought you would be flagging Bella up at this time. Thank you as always. Appreciative regards, Victoriax
Jenny2018
Still looking out for Bella in the hope that as people link up to FB & Twitter they may be neighbours or friends of whoever has this dog. WE WANT HER HOME.
Please keep a look out for Bella and report your findings as we may be able to eliminate that dog from our reports. Stay safe and well Bella until we get you home. Hi Victoria, stay safe and well. Love Jenny xx

Bella
LJ - thank you so much for being on the alert for Bella - you are right there are indeed some similarities - unfortunately the jaw is notas square as Bella's and this dog is not as old (greying) as Bella wd now be at c.9years old. I do hope this little staffie finds its owner or a new loving home soon and thank you again - your thoughts and your looking outs for Bella means a great deal to me. With appreciation Vx
LJ
Any chance that found dog148633, now at Leigh, could be Bella?
The white toe tips look very similar but maybe not as much white on chest.
Ears look similar too - slightly down turned at tops.
Bella
Thank You Helen & Janie - it is indeed 3 years - a difficult anniversary for sure but I will always deeply appreciate the support I have been given through Doglost vx

Bella
Hi Marbie & Forest Dweller - I have now copied & pasted Forest Dwellers link multiple times and I dont get a specific site with a staffie there - I get a list of sites on the page and the only one that mentions a staffie is dog lost - my staffie Bella - if you cd send me the actual page link when opened that wd really help..otherwise I am stuck here....vx
Marbie
Bella I tried the link and it takes you to a black and white Staffie similar to your girl but less white on her chest. I didn't do copy and paste I just highlighted it and went to the link. Not sure if you can do that with whatever device you are using xx
Bella
Hi Forest Dweller - Thank you v much for getting in touch - I am really sorry - and maybe I am missing something but I cut & paste the link below and I cannot seem to reach anything to do with a lost/found staffie - so sorry - cd you give me more of a steer on the actual site/page - thanks so much Victoria
ForestDweller
Dosen't state gender but just in case.

Hi Janie - thank you so much for your supportive email. I am very lucky to have people like your self who are still routing for Bella - and people who look on dog pages and twitter etc - as you say she must be somewhere - oh to know where. best wishes & appreciation victoria

Still think about Bella, and hope she will be home very soon. I would place a LOST DOG ad in a National newspaper. And ask family, friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Twitter too. In case of theft, keep making Bella "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" And "Spread the word" She has to be somewhere.
Bella
Dear Mandy - thank you so much for taking the trouble to be looking out for Bella - I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the kindness& support. I have of course now looked at the photo that you flagged up. Another adorable staffie - dear me. I wish so much that I cd say that it is indeed Bella however Bella is now c.8yrs old and I am afraid also she has a rather squarer jaw. I remain hugely grateful and it is wonderful to know that you are out there with some other enormously dedicated individuals keeping your eye open for Bella. With appreciation Victoria
Mandy
could 143318 be her? Facially looks very similar. https://doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=143318&fbclid=IwAR3ua2MHihl9QOf_OvcUiUaKmCDxzBiV0FvlELbj9mMOEFRk2-Ep2GOsw48 be Bella - could have been re-chipped in the time she has been missing
Bella
Thanks for your note Jenny - I can assure you I will be shouting from the rooftops if/when there is positive news about Bella's whereabouts...and am as always enormously grateful that you will as you say - keep looking just in case...Best wishes Victoriax

Hi Victoria, I am happy to help as long as possible as I want Bella back at home. Please let me know soonest if you get any positivity of her whereabouts. I keep looking just in case.

Bella
thanks for this suggestion Debbie - I have looked at the darling staffie - I hate seeing staffies being sold on these sites...anyway it turns out that this particular staffie is very young - Bella must now be about 7 years old - we never knew her exact age as you will probably know she was rescued..Much appreciate you still looking out for Bella. Hi Jenny - thank you very much for flagging up these staffies on the Found Log - I really appreciate you doing this looking for Bella that you so generously do. with regard to the staffies you flagged up - I looked at each one : sadly 141704 has a muzzle that is not the shape of Bella - poor wee thing looks really rather scarred or perhaps it is just the photo - I do hope so. 141708 is a brindle & white staffie and so is definitely not Bella. 141564 - I rang and talked to the Dog Warden - they asked me to send a photo of Bella which I did right away and they kindly emailed me back saying the staffie they have is' 100% not a match with Bella' - I think they were just v kindly wanting to re-assure me that they definitely are not holding onto my dog to free my fretting up as it were.
I think I have said to you before it is the fact that you keep on searching which I find really wonderful - so it wasn't Bella - but there you are a kind individual who is supporting me all the way to see if we can find her - my sincere appreciation as always to you. Victoriax

Jenny2018.. How great for owner after nine years. I think thee was a Staffie posted on Doglost too a few years ago that had been stolen about 9/10 years previously, was found straying, and was reunited with RIGHTFUL owner after being scanned for a microchip. Can`t find his post though. Hope Bella will be very soon. All xd.
Unknown
Great that Doglost has bumped Bella. Put up posters; as many as you can, and post a LOST/STOLEN DOG ad in a National newspaper too. Ask family friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL; Twitter too. Have you contacted other site, such as Missing Pets register, and Animal Search UK . She needs to keep being made "TOO HOT TO HANDLE" If anyone has any suspicions of where Bella maybe, please contact owner on above number, or if you prefer contact Doglost. The strictest confidence will be assured. Have you seen a dog that resembles Bella? Hopefully her microchipped will work it`s magic. Paws, and fingers xd.
Bella
How incredible Jenny that a dog was re-united after nine years - that's over half a dog's life time...thank you as always for your message and generous actions. Best wishes, Victoriax
Jenny2018
Oh Victoria, I was really hoping that Bella was home. I have heard this weekend a dog was reunited with his original owners after NINE YEARS. There is still hope.
I will continue to share Bella's details on social media - maybe just one day she'll be home. Do not give up. Jenny xx
Bella
Thank you very much Jenny for doing this. Even now I had a lovely woman on Wednesday calling me from Lichfield having found a sweet staffie wondering lost and then looking on

Oh dear Debbie- you kind person - I have got your photo - what a lovely staffie - really sadly it isn't Bella - my magical Bella does not have a white flash on her face - oh I got really hopeful there and started to get angry with sites that sell dogs etc. I have said it before but I want to say it to you personally for your kindness - it really means a lot to me that you have clearly taken the time to scroll through the site and then contact me and then go back to site and then send me a photo - you have Bella on your mind - how lucky am I to have people like you around. Thank you so much Debbie for continuing to hold the hope for finding my sweetie. best wishes to you Victoriax

Hi Helen & Forest Dweller - just to let you both know that I rang SDK first thing this morning - the little lost staffie was indeed microchipped and very sadly there was not a match with my numbers - the staffie belongs to people whose registered address is in the St Albans area - I was in tears disappointed as you keep wishing dont you that there will be a miracle ending....but the fact remains that you are both out there keeping an eye open for Bella and I feel hugely fortunate for that. With best wishes & gratitude. Victoriax
Bella
Forest Dweller - I do apologise - I thought I cut & pasted the link you sent me so not sure what happened there - you must have bn rather frustrated with my response. Anyway thanks to you Helen I have now had a look at the staffie that I was supposed to look at. It makes me rather sad as I so want it to be Bella I am not sure myself whether it is just her because I want it to be....anyway there is a tel no and the info says the staffie is chipped - I have Bella's chip no and so I am going to call first thing tomorrow -thank you again Forest Dweller again and sorry about my confusing things and thanks v much for un-confusing me Helen with ID number etc on Dog Lost. Victoria

Bella
Thank you very much indeed 'Forest Dweller' for sending me this link...just so great that people like yourself are still on the look out for Bella and have taken the time to get in contact....I have gone to the link and there certainly are some similarities in terms of white markings but it turns out that the poor staffie that is featured is in fact a male - I do hope it has a loving owner...staffies get such a bad time if abandoned....wishing you a peaceful holidays & thank you again.

From Bella’s owner...
Well Here we are ...its two years to the day that my Magical Bella went missing - two years - how horrible - BUT all of you so kindly got going and searched & searched for her - posted & twittered & postered! to keep her in everyone's minds....Life moves on of course for all & yet the pain in the heart when your dearest friend never comes home & there is no closure remains.

MAYBE...…….2018 is the year that we find her with your help - just keeping her at the back of your mind when you see a black female staffie with a white chest - v.prominent teats from over-breeding... you think BELLA. Thank You hugely to all you Bella supporters.....Bella's Missusx
.

Would have so liked it to be Bella. Thank you for the update. I will keep looking.
Bella
Jeddie - Follow- Up call to Re-Homing place. Because you had been so kind in letting me know of this black staffie with white chest I just wanted to let you know the final outcome. I called them again this morning and sent photos of Bella & they sent lots of photos - vkindly of the staffie - sadly it turns out that their staffie has a browny black coat not a black one like Bella & is not as 'square' as Bella kind of is - still now we know - I follow up every possible lead and am delighted to get them from kind people like yourself whatever the outcome. Thank you again Victoriax
Bella
Dear Jeddie - I DO apologise for delayed response - unfortunately for some reason the alert for your comment went into my Junk box and I only caught that today. firstly I hugely appreciate that you flagged this up to me - thank you so much - nearly 2 years on it is amazing that people like you are still helping me to find Bella. Just to let you know I looked at the poster of the staffie and then immediately called the Dog home - just from a first conversation I have found out that the staffie they have is not chipped which Bella is - and although I desperately wish that it is Bella - her muzzle is a different shape from this other found staffie. The staff sounded v harassed when I called - short staffed! but I will call back again just to make 100% sure. Of course I will let you know if it is Bella. Either way I am just really appreciative that you took the time to get in touch & are looking out for Bella. Feel great about how supported you have made someone feel today. Best wishes Victoriax

I have Ellie who is very similar looking to Bella so I will do all I can to find her.
Stay strong and keep looking. x
Bella
Jenny2018 - you are very kind Jenny - it is wonderful to know that over a year after Bella's disappearance there are people out there like you still looking for her - every black staffie I see I slow down and look for a white chest hoping that there will be my Magical Bella...thank you SO much for carrying on carrying on looking for her too. Vx
Jenny2018
Victoria, I am always willing to help look out for dear Bella, I would be totally devastated if I lost my Ellie. Every little helps by remind social media we are still looking for Bella & want her home. No thanks necessary. Jenny x
Bella
Black Dog - Thank you very much indeed for sending me this link - I really appreciate you looking out for Bella - v.kind - sadly I have had a look at the photos and there is a description of this dog being dark brindle - the photo is a bit deceptive isn't it? There are other features that do not match Bella's sadly along with the dog not being chipped which Bella is - v. disappointing - I wish I cd tell us both differently - but the fact that you are looking for Bella is hugely supportive & helpful - So a very big thank you, Victoriax

Another push on social media as we may reach someone who is caring for her. She is out there somewhere and I WILL NOT GIVE UP on her and reuniting her with Victoria her rightful owner.
Bella
Sorry Jenny2017 that i have been a longer than I would have wished replying to your caring activities - for some reason the comment alert went into my Junk Mail- boring computer...anyway you may well be right - but she had a disc on and they would needed to have deliberately ignored that...of course it mt have bn a family thinking they were saving a poor abandoned staffie - little do they know how much her owner loves her and wants her home....Anyway you are a star keeping the home fires burning for her through your posting - thank you as always - best wishes & appreciation Victoria & Bella - if she knew all you are doingx

Hi Victoria, I am still thinking of Bella and pray she comes home soon. If I can help please let me know. Jenny x
Bella
Dear Ellie2016 - thank you so much for your continuing support - there isnt a day that goes by when I am out walking/in town or whatever that I am looking out for Bella - it would be extraordinary if we were re-united but as you say dogs have gone missing for several years - Of course it will be all over the site and beyond if there is any positive news for sure! Thank you again for your lovely message Best wishes Victoriax
Jenny2018
Dear Victoria, please keep looking for Bella, someone has taken her in and must be looking after her. Some dogs have gone missing for over two years. Please keep us updated. Bella is on my mind everyday and can't wait until you are reunited. Hang in there she is worth it.xx
Bella
Thank you so much for your well wishing regarding Bella - it is lovely to know after five months now that she is still on your mind Ellie2016 - she remains on mine each day and yet there is no news Vx

I DO apologise to those of you I have not got back personally over the last 3 weeks or so - there was a family bereavement and then I have turned into a walking putty type creature with one of the monster lurgies around - nearly up & about so I should gradually get into gear again Victoria
Bella
Thank you 'Jenkins' very much indeed for your link - I have checked it out - the white markings sadly do not match up with Bella's but it sounds that there maybe a lovely home for the 'sweetie' ...really appreciate you still being on the case in terms of looking for Bella - thank you muchly Victoriax

So very sorry it wasn't,t your Bella.
I see on the re United section that Marley,a mastiff, has been found ALSO lost in Tunstall Forest so keep the posters going up as there are other dog walkers who hopefully will keep their eyes open.
I do hope you are re United with Bella..I continually look out for missing dogs on warden/Gumtree etc sites.xx
Bella
Dear Lindy and Skywalker99 - just to let you know that I have now heard back from Breckland Dog Warden - a warden called Bob was really helpful and sympathetic - he got right on to sending me photos and rang the kennels again with a bit more info I gave him about Bella - a very sweet staffie of course but indeed I could see from the additional photos that she was 'brindley' on her legs - Bella is a deep black with her white chest - although as you so kindly relayed Lindy they did share the loss of hair and more - I do keep repeating myself but it is absolutely true - I am so touched and encouraged when I hear from people like yourselves who are out there looking for my Bella - Thank you So much Victoriax

I am sure that you have seen_08121635.Staffie cross.says brindle.found Thetford.on 8th December. There is a photo of this dog,she has loss of hair round tail and back. The photo is on the Breckland dog warden,"found"page.photo looks similar.i do hope you find her.
Bella
Louise625 - just to update you after you kind gesture of getting in touch with me with a potential lead - I called the vets today and the poor staffie with all its terrible scarring as you mention is in fact a male staffie - I am just endlessly grateful to people like yourself looking for Bella - so the more sharing & any potential leads you or your friends find even if it is a long shot is so very helpful & supportive in the grim journey of trying to locate one's beloved missing dog. With thanks victoria
Bella
Sarah - thank you SO much for spotting this staffie - I truly appreciate you looking for Bella like this - I have gone on the site using the address you kindly provided and have pm'd the individual - I think the photo suggests that the poor wee lovely is probably younger than Bella - but it is important to rule things out as we know - again many thanks Victoria
Sarah
One here found I believe North West, maybe Chester sort of area. Finder hasn't reported as found to the authorities but there is a photo on the post - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10210286254846316&set=gm.10154411012648884&type=3&theater

Dear Louise - thank you So very much for keeping your eyes swivelling for my beloved Bella - I appreciate the support hugely. As a result of your message to me I have posted a message on the FB page you sent me sending a photo of Bella - like you say - actually given the poor wee thing is microchipped it is probably not Bella as I have heard nothing from Bella's microchip company BUT as you say its so important to follow up on every lead and again I am just really cheered knowing kind people like yourself are out there for Bella (poor little staffie - how awful all those scars are not to mention how they may have been inflicted....)Best wishes Victoria
Louise625
Please look on this facebook page - scroll down, there is a little black staffy girl with lots of scars on her face like she has been used for baiting - probably not your Bella but needs ruling out

The Sutton Heath 'found' black staffie whilst not Bella was, thanks to the kindness of a couple in the area who found her & took her to Melton Vets, re-united with her owner on Monday of this week. It could So Easily have been Bella so I am very grateful to all the support from group members over the last few days ...all potential leads are great whether they lead to a positive outcome or to ruling things out - so please keep them coming whenever you see a black staffie with a white chest!!Thank you SO much Vx
Bella
I would like to thank LJ hugely for contacting me with info about a found staffie - the full details re what I did/ the outcome is on Bella's FB page 'FIND MAGICAL BELLA CAMPAIGN' - please DO join us if you would like to Vx
Bella
LJ- thank you v much for that extra bit of info - have just called Saxon Vets and sadly no staffies brought in - also called Ipswich Dog warden just in case plus lots of other vets/suffolk council etc - no staffies brought in. Putting on my 'detective' hat!! - it sounds like from your comments below that there is someone who knows of this couple - am I correct? - it might help to know who for honing in on things....I am fairly new to the area - when you say the 'road down to Methersgate' cd you kindly tell me where you are driving from when you say 'down' - or is it dead obvious when you get to Methersgate? Thank you so much Victoria
LJ
Have you tried Saxon Vets at Wickham Mkt? Apparently the couple enquiring about the staffie live on the road down to Methersgate. There can't be too many houses down there so might it be worth enquiring in that area? Linda

I've just checked with Orwell vets at Grange Farm and nothing there either. Have given them owners details in case Bella is brought in there...
Bella
I have followed up on the information you very kindly provided LJ re staffie - calling Melton Vets, Ryder Davies in Woodbridge, Pampered Pets, Suffolk Coastal & Pets at Home (just in case couple not resident in Suffolk & travelling home)& Vets Now - the out of hours vets at Melton- so all are alerted but as of this morning 9.58am! there have been no staffies brought in - so it is a waiting game to rule the 'find' out or in....urgh!! - but thank you SO much for thinking of Bella whatever the outcome Vx
Bella
Thank you very much indeed for thinking of Bella when the couple at Sutton Heath talked to you - its great that they were going to take the little staffie to check microchip - whether it is Bella or not - but of course my heart would be jumping over the moon if it was her - thank goodness for kind people like yourselves. So sorry cannot work out how I mention you personally using your screen name... Vx
LJ
A couple were up at Sutton Heath south car park today asking if anyone recognised a little staffie they had with them who had arrived on their doorstep. I said I knew that a staffie had been missing for some time but at that stage I hadn't seen a picture of Bella. Having now looked at her picture it could very well be her. They were going to take her up to the vet's to see if she was microchipped. I didn't think to ask which vets as I hadn't made a connection. I do hope it is her and that you will soon be reunited
Bella
Did a Refresh of quite a number of the posters around Tunstall Forest/Rendlesham Forest/Sudbourne that wonderful Bella supporters have put up and highjacked! as many walkers as I saw near them asking them if they knew about Bella - as I always do. Sadly no news of Bella, posters are going up further a field in towns in the area and weathered posters are being replaced in the forest just to remind people she is sadly still missing.....
Millys Mum
Any news? I keep coming back to Bella's page to check for updates. I don't know Tunstall Forest but, from what I've read, it's vast and so it's quite feasible that Bella is still out there 'enjoying' her freedom and mini adventure, blissfully unaware of the worry she is causing. I do hope that you get some information soon about her whereabouts. Come on Bella - show your beautiful face.
Bella
JulieK extremely kindly offered to come with me for postering day today refreshing posters around Campsea Ashe area and then onto Felixstowe where we put posters up in various shops inc Co-op/Tescos/Morrisons/pubs/cafes and Sunday Market area and station - then went onto Asda's Ipswich where it turns out they no longer allow posters in store so we got creative here and at other supermarkets - with Julie bounding out of car to put posters up in trolley shelters and me furtively springing into bushes to put up posters on a tree etc. Big thank you to Julie as I dont know this area and it was just great to have her leading the poster-putting up day!Vx Thank you also 'Seeks' for your twitter work - much appreciated.

With regard your question about whether it's possible to over-ride chip details, it has been known, albeit rare but when it has happened, it has taken place several months after the dog has been missing which is why it's a good idea to call the microchip company every few days (which you may be doing anyway). Really, really hoping that this weekend's walkers, dogwalkers, horseriders, etc will spot Bella waiting to be reunited. All paws and fingers crossed 'this end'.
Bella
Thank you v much for taking the time to write your thoughtful post 'Milly's Mum - that is a very good point you make and reminds me that I need to keep that in mind re. chips - I do keep in touch with the Microchip people and my details are with her chip number - I dont whether they can be over-ridden by someone else? - I suppose someone cd say she is not chipped and get her chipped again? - I would however definitely pursued things further if the face shape & paw colouring had been more similar. Its great to know that you will be looking out for Bella - thank you very much Vx
Millys Mum
I realise it's highly unlikely in this case as Bella has 'only' been missing one month, but there could be an outside (slim) chance that Bella's chip details could have been changed. But, having said that, I presume the Medway Dog Warden knows that the Staffie they have in their care has been registered at the same address for a while. I live in North Kent but, of course, will discreetly quiz any Staffie owners that I come across with a recently acquired black (with white chest) female Staffie. I do hope that you receive the phone call you've been waiting for very soon.
Bella
The Medway Warden has just called me back and asked if Bella was chipped to my address - to which the answer is of course yes - the staffie in the photo is chipped to an entirely different address I am completely satisfied that this staffie is not Bella and that concurs with my feelings on closer inspection of paw colouring and face shape - BUT keep the leads coming - I so appreciate the support - thank you Ellie2016 for forwarding the photo. Vx Have bn contacting vets further afield today in Ipswich & Felixstowe and will also be adding her to Lost/Found sites etc in those areas - let me know if there other sites that you think I might be missing or you have had success with - we have now - with everyone's ideas covered all the mainstream ones etc and its going to be a month next Tuesday so all ideas welcome Vx
carol
Good luck, Victoria!

If you have not already I really think you need to get some media coverage for Bella ie local paper .As there have been no sightings I think someone may have her so you may have to report to police as stolen.

It's been now two weeks since Bella has been missing - quite an agonisingly long time but all of you have supported me through ideas/going out putting up posters/going on searches/supportive wishes - remain hugely important to me in terms of keeping the faith - please keep keeping in touch/swivelling those eyes/telling your mates/carrying posters/flyers with you to give to people/put up further afield etc.Deep appreciation from me & my beloved Bella.

Met up with Bella's owner and a few dedicated Bella helpers this morning (thank you so much for coming girls) and we searched an area that was fenced off, although the public is allowed in there. This area was not searched at all on Saturday as we didn't get the time.
Sam and Loki were with us and Loki didn't pick any scent up in this area.
Everybody that we spoke to was aware of Bella so all the posters that have been put up are doing the work, just hoping we get some news very soon x
Bella
Bella's a bit of a tuggy toys person but actually I think that is a really good idea Nina - I am going out in the garden right now to get one of her balls and take it out tomorrow on search. Thank you Vx

would walking around with a squeaky toy help lure her out do you think

Had a look in daylight today. Nothing there, though the area did look trampled with broken bracken, which was still green, so maybe fresh.

Got call from couple who walk their dogs in Tunstall Forest on Sunday eve - reported seeing dog Bella's size which they said looked healthy but on its own - caller was pretty definite that it was a brown dog though. Jumped in car and went off in pitch black to named sighting ie the brackeny area on opposite side of road to entrance to Sandgalls car park - not a sound - then went down to B1069 heading back to Snape just beyond where there is a footpath sign on both sides of road and stayed there for a while - again nothing but great that poster had worked to get call even the dog seen was indeed brown and therefore not Bella Vx

Owner's clothing and some food have been left where Bella went missing from, too soon for a trap to be set as we need sightings first and we need to know that she is taking the food....
Unknown
Sounds promising juliek Is there a feeding station/trap setu up?
juliek
Had an "incident" today, which may or may not be significant. I was walking my dogs fairly close to where Bella went missing. My Bella was off her lead, as we were walking up a track, my Bella's ears went up, and she jumped into the trees. A second later I heard a yelp, which I assumed was my Bella, then all went quiet for a while. I called her and got no answer and so got worried and climbed into the trees. I heard a bit of rustling and then it went quiet again. After a few minutes I heard more rustling and went on to the track to see my Bella further up looking for me. She had no injuries to explain the yelp, and I didn't see or hear any animals running away, so maybe disturbed another animal? Dog maybe? I don't know. When I got back to the car park, I saw Victoria and we went to have a look without my dogs, but couldn't see anything. I'll try to get back to have another look tomorrow.
Bella
To all who came out on the Search for Bella - as her owner I am just bowled over by all the support I have had in finding me Beloved Bella since I lost her and then a number of you came out on a search - I felt so enormously supported and again pls accept my real appreciation of each member of the search group walking out/swivelling your eyes/putting up posters like mad/accosting! walkers/sharing your knowledge of the area/and telling that you will keep on looking for Bella - what more could anyone possibly ask for in terms of support. I was out around where she went missing yesterday eve again at about 10pm to also put down something of hers - no signs but you are all motivating me to keep going when a low hits me - so huge thank yous to all Vx

The road I thought to do was already very well postered at its many stopping places, but have put a few on the road out to Wantisden Farms and further on along the road towards Woodbridge that goes past the big entrance to Rendlesham Forest and has various parking areas for walkers. Called back in to Sandgalls on my way home but you were all still out. Am going to near The Froize Inn tomorrow - Chillisford - so may see some more spaces for a poster.

Bella has been featured in the East Anglian Daily Times today, hope this will bring some news x

Firstly thanks Juliek for coming out to help today, so very kind of you.
Generally dogs will move around at dawn and dusk as this is the quietest time, however I did find that when we went back to the point where Bella went missing from it was very, very quiet so she could well move about at other times.
juliek
As I live so close to the area, and can go anytime, armed with treats, what is the best time of day to go? This week is my short week at work, so I will be able to go down a few time. When is she most likely to be out and about?

Thank you so much to everybody who turned up for the search today, it was a good turn-out.
There are more posters up in the area and flyers have been posted through doors of houses in the surrounding area, although we did not see Bella we had Sam and Loki with us all day and in the afternoon we went back to the area went Bella went missing from and Loki picked up a scent so we search this area again. I left some fresh clothing there that Victoria had given me in the hope that if she is still in the area then she will stay around.
Thank you to Victoria and the helpers who kindly allowed the film crew to be with us for most of the day.
Hopefully with more posters up further a field we will get the sighting that we need.
On the way home I had to stop and rescue a cat who was stuck on a round about on the A12! Managed to find the owner who was so grateful, so all was good!

Good luck everybody, hope you find Bella xx

Good luck every one for todays search! well done team Bella!

Another thought. Have you been onto the travellers site? Not sure where it is, but I think there's one around somewhere, though not close to where Bella went missing. While I don't think they actively go around looking for dogs to take, I do remember a friend's going missing in Tunstall as it had wandered off a farm onto the road, just as a traveller from another area was passing. Just by chance someone passing saw them put the dog into their truck. There had been a party that weekend and they had come down for it. He did get it back after going onto the site (which was at Blaxhall at the time), but had to go to Grantham to get it! Karl spoke to Kevin. He hasn't seen her, but will look out for her.

Good Luck for tomorrow xxxx

Alerts have been put out on Radio Suffolk for Bella, this will reach out to a wide audience and to people who perhaps do not use the internet, so hoping this will bring some news x
Bella
Rog - just to let you know that we had Sam Bryce and her talented tracker dog Loki out on Monday - sadly whilst Loki picked up scents of Bella they were not as recent as hoped - so thank you for that suggestion . Vx
Bella
Built & Juliek - have picked up your ideas up re. advertising Built - v helpful hints and all the trekking around and poster putting up you have done Juliek - bloomin' marvellous - what exceptionally kind people like yourselves I and Bella am being supported by - thank you truly Vx
Bella
Lindy - no I havnt got in touch with the Breckland dog wardena as I have moved here relatively recently - I will call tomorrow - thank you so much for taking the time to come up with another great idea Vx
Bella
Juliek - I am sorry I didnt get back to you immediately after your further really helpful ideas - I left a poster in the Forestry Commission office and have visited Heath Cottages in the Forest and the cottage just on the edge of the Forest on the road coming from Snape Maltings to Sandgalls car park. I dont know Kevin Ross so it would be great if your ex cd phone him or give you the number - brilliant ideas you keep coming up with so generously Vx
Podge
Didn't someone with a tracker dog help to find a lost dog on Dunwich Heath some months ago? Is that something to be considered for Bella?
Bella
Thank you so much Cassie - that is great that you located someone who knows the farmers in the Wantisden Farm area - and Iken liveries and a walk - how very kind of you - Sam Bryce who came tracking with Hoki in the forest Monday sent me a text saying that you can have no sightings and then dog appears so we keep on hoping and with everyone keeping their eyes peeled/sharing/postering etc the best possible that can be done is being done to find my magical staffie - Vx
Cassie
Left poster at Wantisden Farms today, the lady in the office was very helpful and sympathetic, as she has a Staffie. She has offered to make sure every farmer knows about Bella, as they farm the land all in that area. I also left a poster at Iken Liveries. Lisa there was aware of Bella and she put the poster up in the tack room and will ask all the riders to look out for Bella. My friend and I walked at Sandgalls this afternoon, but sadly no sighting...

Found dog id 104961 has been reunited so sadly not a match for Bella.
Thanks RMB for posting x

Any chance this is Bella? http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=104961
Cassie
Have you put a poster up in the Iken Livery and the farm office at Wantisden? If not, I can do these tomorrow.
juliek
Also what about the Forestry Commission? Presumbably they have people working in the forest sometimes. Will they put a poster up in their offices? There is one near Tangham campsite
juliek
Ive had a word with my ex and hes going to call Kevin. If you want to speak to him yourself, I have his number here as well
juliek
Ive just had another thought. Have you spoken to the people who live in the houses in the forest? Or the postman that delivers there? There is also a man who lives at Tunstall common, called Kevin Ross. He sells logs, and has a sign outside his house advertising logs for sale. He often drives along the main track. If you cant find him let me know. My ex is a friend of his and may have his phone number

Please check the Breckland Dog warden site-he posts the dogs up,but rarely with a photo, but there are some staffies up there .His phone number is 01362 858500,although I am sure you will have been in contact with him already.
I think he covers your area.
I do hope you find her.

Another thought ... if you haven't already ? is get onto local radio .... Radio Suffolk x
bullt
Oh dear - so sorry she is still 'on the loose' ..... If it was me, I would get onto the East Anglian Daily Times .... maybe try to get them to run a little story about her with a good photo ? and if they are not interested in that, I would pay to put an advert in - the type that will have a sort of edging round it so it will stand out & as large as you can afford & run for a few days ? Need to get it in before the weekend ... say Friday & Saturday as always more people out with their dogs at the weekend ... I would think best in the Pets / Dogs column rather than Lost & Found .... that might well reach people who don't go online. xx
DogLostHelen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
Thank you so much for going out to search with Loki Sam, really appreciate it x
juliek
Don't give up hope. Sam is right. The forest is huge, and she could still be there. When I called in at Rendlesham vet, they were waiting to scan a Black Lab that had been found in Tunstall (I had hoped the person that had found it was a bit short sighted, and it would turn out to be a Staffie), it could easily be Bella next time. I went out today and put posters in the following areas: Tunstall garage, Campsea Ashe shop, Wickham Market vet, co-op, town notice board and Rackhams, Saxmundham vet, Tesco and community notice board, Melton and Woodbridge vet. If she's not found by Wednesday I'll put some more out. I walk with my dogs regularly down there. Is she OK with other dogs? My Flash will go straight up to say hello if he sees her, will that scare her off? While I was at Rackhams, someone asked if you had tried the Pampered Pets Hotel. I said you probably had as that was where you got her from. The reply was (and I'm only repeating what was said to me here) "try again as they won't tell you if they find her". So, might it be worth another call?
Bella
Thanks so much juliek - that is incredibly kind - I have been off with Sam Bryce and her tracking dog Loki today - sadly while Loki picked up some scents they were apparently not todays's or that recent - Sam said she thought Bella cd feasibly still in the Forest because it is so big but also she cd be further afield now so I will contine to return there to keep my scent fresh and it would be amazing if otheres could look to if they go into the Forest but also not dismiss the possibility that Bella may now be further afield on other walks/in surrounding villages etc etc. Thank you again so much for your support Juliek
juliek
I'll also try to get to all the vets in the area while I'm out. There's a small one at Rendlesham, one at Woodbridge, Melton and Saxmundham. I'll try to get to them all today.
juliek
I'm off to the hospital today, so I'll call in Tunstall garage, and come back via Wickham Market and anywhere else I can think of. I do hope she's found soon. I think about her every day.
Bella
Great to have more ideas Bullt - thank you so much - will add Butley pub & Suffolk Punch Trust/Sutton area to my to do list - I also like the idea of post card sized posters- bn to Rendlesham Forest area today - campsite and travellers sites and various parking venues thanks to Julieks suggestions so its absolutely great that you are giving me ideas as well - firstly because I am fairly nnew to Suffolk and secondly as importantly its really motivating to know people like yourself are willing you on - its extraordinary the support - thank you very much for you. Vx
bullt
The pub at Butley has also very recently re opened I believe so well worth putting a poster up in there - also maybe out at Hollesley at the Suffolk Punch Trust as they have a cafe in house there. Pleased to have read elsewhere you have Sam & Loki coming to try & track ... presume tomorrow ? Not sure if you have thought of postmen ? get a load of small post card sized posters with main info on laminated that they can carry with them on their rounds .... On the road out from the Nat Trust / Sutton Hoo towards Sutton ( I think ?) there is a very popular dog walking area on the left - they have a securely fenced area as well there and it would alert lots of walkers .... really hope you get her back soon x x
Bella
You are so right Juliek and you are so kind too - how much thoughtful time you put into your v considered posting. Have covered off a number of the places you mention - havnt bn to Tunstall Garage - I will also get in touch with dog trainer - going to Rendlesham Forest this aft so your specific places mentioned really helpful - re Snape garage we have a poster on shop door now and garage took one. Wickham Market I havnt done as havnt thought that far ahead- dont whether you live near there - if not let me know & I will do it next week - have contacted the vets there. The greatest help would be if you keep spreading the word and if you feel like it - handing posters out on your way when you walk outside Tunstall Forest - I so appreciate having such kind supportive people like yourself thinking alongside me in terms of what to do/where to go. Vx
juliek
What we need is a sighting of Bella, it is possible that she has been seen but people didn't realise that she was missing, or didn't know who to contact to report a sighting? I used to do a bit or postering in the area, so lets see if I can think of places that you haven't thought of. Can't help you this weekend, unfortunately, as I'm working, but I do keep walking my dogs there.
First off, there's all the car parking areas round the area she went missing. That includes Orford Road and Sudbourne Road. If she crossed the road onto Blaxhall Common, there are Car parking areas all along the Snape Road, and the Snape to Blaxhall road, and it's worth putting some in Blaxhall village itself, and Sudbourne. Also, Orford village. She may not have gone there, but people with dogs there probably take them into the forest sometimes. Snape garage won't put a poster in the window, but they will put one on the counter (if you go today, my dog loving friend should be working). Snape shop is now shut, but there is a telegraph pole outside which is always good for a poster. Then there is Tunstall garage, they are open this morning but then shut until Monday, they have put posters in their windows for me. Eyke shop and Randlesham shop are worth trying as well. There is a notice board in Tunstall village. If you can get one near the village hall, they have a dog training class there sometimes. If she's crossed the road the other way, she might have got to Butley, so posters in Butley village are worth doing. Also Rendlesham Forest, near Tangham campsite and the picnic site, also along that track to the campsite, there is a lot of pull ins for cars. You could also put some in Wickham Market. The more posters around, the more chance of getting a sighting. If you don't manage them all, I can do some Monday. Let me know where you haven't been.

Hi, just wanted to make a suggestion, as we lost our little puppy in Rendlesham forest about a month ago. We put items of clothes (not just washed, that had been worn) around the area he went missing, then leading back to where our car was parked. We also stayed there late that night, as there was sightings of him but he was too frightened to come out. We lit a bbq, using the smelliest meats possible. It worked! I strongly recommend doing these things. I really hope you find her, I know exactly how you feel and wouldn't wish it on anyone! If I can, I will try and get over to the forest tonight. Chloe x

Hope Bella is found soon. Have shared to Paw . X
Bella
Hi Bullt - thank you very much for your suggestion - you are right I met a member of TROG who was really helpful and he put Bella on their forum
bullt
Hi there - if you have not already done so, I would suggest contacting TROG, because they will often have their riders out on trails who will see areas walkers don't cover. They have been very sympathetic & helpful before with missing dogs. Best of luck x
Bella
Thank you all for your comments. Bella is STILL MISSING - her third night out tonight - have been really busy putting out posters all round Tunstall Forest and going to local pubs - The Crown, Snape & The Ship Blaxhall & Youth Hostel and calling RSPCA Suffolk East, re-calling Microchip company/vets etc - and generally hijacking everyone I have met on my search. ThanK you for specific searching you mention and 'Juliek' - thank you for your livery ideas and addresses - will go tomorrow - its impossible to know whether Bella is still running around in Tunstall Forest or has now gone further afield so would be so grateful if you can extend possibilities in your search/ideas/sharing etc. to include and go beyond the forest. I cannot tell you how much all of your support behind me means to me. With Appreciation Bella's owner, Victoria

Went to Snape/Tunstall area today but no sightings. Will poster in our village now.

Please stay safe Bella until you are found

There are two livery stables in the area, and there are often riders in the forrest. One is Tunstall Forrest Livery, on Snape Road, the other is Plunkets Farm on Blaxhall Church Road, Tunstall. May be worth taking posters to both of those places
