UPDATE! Hey guys, Just thought I would let you know how we have progressed so far: we spent all day yesterday putting up posters and asking locals in the area we believe Tinkerbell to be, we have been informed that a rather unsavoury group of people now have her, we dont have an address but the person who has her is known to the police, the police cant give us the address and are not really too bothered about the situation so either we have to hope they will come forward or we will have to approach the people ourselves and hope for the best.. thanks for your help so far kelly.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to let you know that we have just received a phone call from a man that was offered the dog to buy yesterday evening. Evidently the young guy that had him hangs out at the Total petrol garage in colliers wood, we have contacted the police and we are going to try and go down there and have a look asap. Thanks for everbodys help so far, fingers crossed! KellyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I looked up the area on the A-Z and couldn't help but notice there is a cemetary close to Victoria Road. Is this correct? If so, it may be that she has taken fright and is sheltering there. I would suggest that the owners make sure they make direct contact with the cemetary's office and also speak to the 'grounds' staff. She's certainly very cute and I hope that somebody has found her, taken her in and are awaiting the Lost posters to appear. When we were looking for Samson, Lee his owner took a call from a policeman at Mitcham police station. He had seen Samson's Missing ad in the News Shopper paper and wondered whether he was the Staffie who had been taken into the police station. It wasn't but was a Staffie missing from the New Cross area and who was retunited with his owners at Battersea. And so it seems that there is at least one caring policeman based at Mitcham police station. Suggest Tinkerbell's owners make a personal visit to report her as missing. Good Luck in finding this sweet, young girl.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

For any new helpers who can lend a hand here, posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Tinkerbell well. Stay safe little one, until you are found x re, Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, I live very close to Victoria Road and am out at least twice a day every day in that area (and on Figges Marsh) with my own two staffordshire bull terriers. I will keep my eyes and ears open and have noted the owners phone numbers just in case I see or hear anything. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photos have been emailed to HQ. Owner has already contacted Battersea, Police, Dog Warden and started postering with 'home made' ones. Have told owner basically poster anywhere, everywhere, postman, milkman etc. etc. (Am sure Diane told her the same LOL). Owners son suffers from autism and is blind and this puppy is his companion. Carer must have let Tinkerbell out by accident and possibly been picked up by passer by locally. Told owner to contact local press for story. Owner does not have internet access but her aunt has and she will be registering to keep thread updated. Rotties and I are over in Essex/East London so we are unable to help this owner poster. Need to get this baby back to the little boy asap. - KatieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
