Izzy is doing really well, its really slow progress but we will get there. Today she made a really big step and came up to me and then allowed me to stroke he, it made me so happy, she may just be starting to trust us.
Ive started to write a book all about her story / adventures / rehabilitation. carol.
Carol
One year ago yesterday Izzy slipped her lead and part of my world fell apart, and what a year it's been. I've walked hundreds of miles cried thousands of tears, I've risked life and limb searching the forrest in the middle of the night with a touch, I've ran through fields, climbed over and got stuck on wire fence.s, I've been covered in mud, soaking wet and so cold that I couldn't feel my toes, I've spent hours and hours day and night in a broken down smelly mouse infested car when trap watching, I even spent 2 days with a channel 4 film crew as they followed us around the forrest, when the field she was on got really muddy and we couldn't get on there we got a jeep on my credit card.
On the plus side I've meet loads of great people and I've made lot's of new friends who along with some of my own friend's have suffered all of the above with me.
But she's home and safe and much loved and if I really had to I'd do it all again 😁

Amazing story and so happy to see her home safe and sound!!!!!

I only went once to set up one of my bigger and EASI-SET traps and I was KNACKERED by the time i got down,I stopped till 5am no sign of her. Team IZZY did this feeding her TWICE a day I SALUTE you ALL. it just goes to show how these poor creatures can survive with a little help!! BLESS EM!!. It was an honour to meet such genuine animal lovers, So IZZY behave and remember which side your bread,s BUTTERED!!! RAY.

Ohhh, Wow - what a lovely, happy ending x
How ever did she survive for those 4 months in those cold conditions ?
Gold Stars to everyone concerned for your patience, care & love
& for #nevagivinguphope
Well Done #teamIzzy
I DO Hope She will soon recover from Her 'ordeal' away from home.
As for those '2 men with guns', surely their energies would've been better spent in helping to locate Her & help in her entrapment, rather than doing the 'easiest & quickest' thing in their own selfish interests .

Izzy slipped her collar back in August 2016, they had no sightings of her for 4 months. They then found her on a welsh mountain on Abercarn. Where her owners and friends tried to trap her, earn her trust she was even eating out of her dads hand but any movement and she was gone. My self and Kaye Wicks got involved around five weeks ago, we went up to Izzy a few times and decided the best action was to dart izzy and tranquillise her. This was mainly due to the time she had been out on the mountain and the farmer wanting to put the sheep up there. They had said many times they were going to shoot her. Today when we arrived two men and two dogs were in the area with talk of shooting her. They said they would be back to do just that.. Well good luck to that guys and we hope you enjoy searching for her because she is now home and safe. Izzy was darted today and she managed to get across two fields and into the plantation but she wasn't too far in. We found her asleep in the shrubs. First thing we had to do was get a lead around her neck, as we did this she had a little burst of energy but didn't get far as Mike jumped on her. So lead on, picked her up, she was rather heavy so we took it in turns to carry her back to the car. Once back home and safe we gave her the reversal drug to bring her back round fully. She is SAFE. Thank you to everyone who helped with izzy. A massive thank you to her mum and dad Carol and Gerry who have been up there everyday for four months building her trust and never gave up. Thanks to Mike Allison, Hope Rescue, Mike, Beccy and all Carol and Gerry's friends who have supported them for no doubt a very long 8 months Xx

IZZY IS HOME xxxxx Just seen on FB . Fantastic news xxxx
Carol
We are now getting closer to Izzy after a few weeks of hard work from the team around me she has come to us and taken food . She is still very very nervous and on her guard while doing this but it's a massive step. This is all due to the dedicating of people working with me . Last edited: 2017-03-22 10:00:58 by Carol
Carol
Thank you for the comments. We are working hard with a number of people and are getting closer. We have a trap set and just need her to go in it. She is in a new area now which is much easier to work in so we'll hopefully have some good news soon .
Hollieberry
Are the local farmers aware of Izzys plight ? also have you contacted Ray dedicoat
Doglover
Carol if you are feeding her and you know where she is takingbthe food, the next thing I should imagine would be a trap......and gradually the food is placed inside the trap, but traps do need to be monitored 24/7 ....
Georgy Porgy
Bless you Carol. I hope your devotion & patience are soon rewarded. I know this sounds awful but I read on another post sometime ago where the desperate owners considered a vet darting their dog. I don't know if vets would normally do this but your circumstances might warrant such drastic action. Or perhaps 'doped' food? I know you would need to keep her in sight until it took effect. Does Ray or any other experts out there have any other suggestions?
Carol
Izzy is still out there. I am doing everything that I can to get her home we have had lots of different plans but sadly as yet they haven't worked. We are up there twice a day every day making sure that she has food and that she's ok but time is running out as she is next to farm land. She will not come near any of us she's just to frightened. If anyone has a plan that they can put in place please let me know as I don't know what to do next.
Hollieberry
Poor Izzy hopefully someone with time & patience will get her to come closer to them.
Unknown
Ray Dedicote has been down to the area and set a trap for Izzy over a week ago .Izzy didnt go in the trap ..Its unlikely she will now as a previous trap set up went wrong I very much doubt she will go in any other traps put there .....Apparently there is a plan in action involving volunteers ..a possible vet and a warden ..Izzy is not a feral dog she has been as close as 6ft from stranger there ...
Hollieberry
Poor girl she has been out there for months is someone with knowledge helping ?
Unknown
Maybe put a small amount of food in the feeding station and a load of stinky strong smelling food in the trap to entice her in xxxx
Carol
Still tring to catch Izzy. She is close to the trap every day just will not go in.

Sadly Izzy is still missing. There have been a few sightings saying she appears well but will run off if seen. There has been a trap set for her as she appears to still be in the location where she went missing.
Kathryn.Halford
Thank you to all who have been sharing Izzy's poster today.
Sadly after an entire days search by the owners and Hope Rescue volunteers there hasn't been a single sighting of our very worried girl.
We are all incredibly worried about her now as she faces her second night out alone.
She is recently adopted and had a very hard start in life making her incredibly nervous.
Please keep sharing and any help distributing posters in all areas is most welcome.
Many Thanks.
