- Brilliant news.
Welcome home Dot. X - 2016-09-21 08:26 Unknown
- As Dot has been living on rats etc I personally would have her checked over by a vet in case of infection, if it was my cat (I have two) I mean rats are vermin aren`t they? Glad she is okay:-)xxx

- Wonderful news. So pleased for you. Yes, indoor cats do tend to hide, but sometimes as in this case they will try, and live in the wild. Sometimes "Outdoor" cats will too. Stay close now Dot:-)xxx

- Indoor cats often behave differently from outdoor cats when they escape - they often lie very low and hide not far from home. This link has some helpful info about how they behave and how and when it's best to search for her.

All crossed she's not far away and will be home safe with you very soon. xx

- Is neutered wont be too ar away. She is probably on a litte adventure As you say ask neighbours to check their outbuildings. Put some tuna in her dish, and call her; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put something with her scent on into a clean container, such as her blanket/bedding/toys, along with something with your scent on too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates too. Walk around the area carrying something with her scent on, and rattle some treats too. Someone may be feeding her (Common problem) Poster around the area, and put "Lost" posters through doors too.
As someone suggested on here "Dougal" I think try a squeaky toym as it may attract her attention. Last edited: 2016-07-25 17:59:57 - 2016-07-25 16:28 Maggie

- Bang a tin if she has tinned food
If she has dry food rattle it.
That will normally bring a hungry cat home
Would she climb a tree?
I have just put the cat on

- I'd put some smelly food (like pilchards) outside for her & hope it tempts her back & go out when quiet tapping tin plate/rattling treat box & listen for her mew.
Hope she's safely home soon
