Thank you everyone for your advise and help finding Hector. We found him at 11pm tonight not far from the house having been contacted by a member of the public who had seen him earlier in the evening. He had been missing over 24 hours. So pleased to have him home.

Is Park Bottom far from your home marie-clareuk? Have you ever walked Hector from home to Park Bottom? If so, he may be making his own way home using the usual route.

Have you put alerts over Radio and Pirste FM yet? They can be quite successful in locating missing dogs.

Do we know which road he bolted down from the shop? If it was the Portreath road, he could be in Tehidy Woods or farmland around. Posters down there possibly and leafleting walkers.
I drove down the Illogan -> Park Bottom road tonight around 7pm but no sighting.

Hector has been missing since 8pm last night.
Vets/dog warden/police have been informed
Have advised to get lots of posters out in area & to check fences & hedges near to where he went missing in case he is caught up.

I will be checking the cemetery grounds and the Old School House, Illogan at around 6pm tonight if not already found by then. Golden Retriever owner myself.
8pm: Walked extensively Illogan cemetery, Old Schoolhouse, leafleted dog walkers in the area. Slow drive through Park Bottom from co-op roundabout in Illogan, then back to Camborne.

Sorry - no sightings, but really do need to get posters out and possibly leaflet the houses in the immediate area and dog walkers around.

A Labrador/retriever has been found in St Agnes this morning, registered to Camborne area, in the name of Rose? Post is on FB by Vicky Lee-Comyn, possibly same dog?
