- Someone saw a dog matching on the loose last night on the back roads between Colne and Skipton. They stopped the car and the dog ran off. Where this dog was sighted was on the moors and where there is a vast forest. Owners gone to look now and maybe some will go tonight. It's a vast area .....
- 2016-08-24 08:48 Patlucky
- It is so sad for owners if these are hoax calls
- 2016-08-22 07:52 mathers22
- There have been no positive sightings of Heidi the ones that have people have been and searched and CCTV cameras looked at. There was a supposed sighting of her in town in the middle of the afternoon and the family went but nothing, CCVT cameras came up with nothing. The family are rallying round and there are helpers if necessary. They've printed a poster offering a £500 reward for information leading to a safe return now. It's all really very quiet now xx
- 2016-08-20 07:46 Patlucky
- Mathers22 have you got many helpers in the area.
Oh I wish I lived nearer - 2016-08-19 09:57 Svend
- After so long out and about Heidi will be exceedingly difficult to catch - do not underestimate how timid a dog can become, once it has been lost for more than a few days.
Irrespective of how credible the last sighting is, I would urge you to leaflet every house in the area, and also go door-knocking - people can be very reticent about getting in touch :/ - 2016-08-19 08:51 Patlucky
- I have been wondering the same Mathers
I would have thought Heidi would be easy to catch given her time out and about.
Do you know the people who sighted her please? - 2016-08-17 09:24 mathers22
- I hope this is a genuine sighting fingers crossed because things have gone very quiet at the moment xx
- 2016-08-16 19:31 Patlucky
- Sighting could we have Heidi bumped please
She has been seen very tired bless her
- 2016-08-16 19:28 Patlucky
- I have just copied this from FB
It was posted in the last hour or so
Hi all well yet again there has been another sighting of a dog, the lady and gent that saw the dog said it was Heidi, the sighting was around Barden mill lane Estate walking on the road side looking very tired and scared. We are going over tonight to have a look and see if we can find her.
- 2016-08-14 19:44 mathers22
- No news on Heidi at all. There is a new Poster being shared from Heidi's page. There's been no sightings whatsoever. I'm beginning to wonder if the same is going to happen as with Poppy who was stolen from Foulridge in June and then a call from someone who had her requesting the reward money. There is only about 1 mile distance from where one was lost and the other taken xx
- 2016-08-07 17:17 Hollieberry
- Any news on Heidi yet? I keep hoping she has been found .
- 2016-07-29 07:54 Patlucky
- Fingers crossed for Heidi to be found soon poor girl

- Owners waiting for the Council to let them view CCTV x
- 2016-07-27 22:14 Patlucky
- It seems strange that is true Mathers but you never know
- 2016-07-23 15:52 mathers22
- Someone said they'd seen a dog matching Heidi's description in the town last week the owners went round searching but nothing. I don't think it likely that after so long being missing she would be trotting around the town on an afternoon. There are posters all around the area, everywhere you go you see them - nothing.
- 2016-07-21 20:07 Patlucky
- Any news Mathers?
- 2016-07-14 22:35 mathers22
- Just got back from holiday tonight so don't know much, there was a leaflet through my door about Heidi. Reading her facebook link there have been leaflets put through doors everywhere in and out of the area she went missing offering a reward but it doesn't look like there's been anything. There have been leaflets delivered to schools all around too. Just a dead end at the moment. No sightings except from the lady who didn't recognise her from the fist photo and thought she was with a man walking a dog, that was on the day she went missing and it was very close to where I live xx
- 2016-07-11 20:22 Hollieberry

Please let her be caught and reunited soon

- Oh i do hope the sightings are Heidi xxxxx
- 2016-07-06 19:38 mathers22
- We've just found out that there was a sighting of Heidi running on the day she got lost. A lady saw her but thought she was with a man and it was before the second most recent photo of Heidi had been was on here. The lady in question has been in hospital but on seeing the most recent photo it was definitely Heidi. The dog seen in the early hours down the road from me in Salterforth could well have been Heidi. There's also been a dog sighted at the other end of town. At least she's not down that deep hole xx

- Just a thought from afar but are there several water sources available around the immediate vicinity to stop her from trying to get to the water in the canal? its quite hot now for a dog with a thick coat.
- 2016-07-06 16:00 Patlucky
- Yes Mathers22 have a good holiday
- 2016-07-06 12:58 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
- mathers22 and Patlucky thank you for the ongoing postering and support being given to HEIDI's family.
mathers22 enjoy your well deserved holiday. :) - 2016-07-06 09:49 mathers22
- Thank you Patlucky and Doglost. The helpers are getting in touch with a Rescue Organisation (mountain/cave) to go a hole that is in a scrap yard next to where she went missing. Nobody is sure whether the gates were open or not at the time she went missing. Will keep you informed. Going on holiday tomorrow so won't be about much for a week xx

- mathers22 any more sightings or information
Heidi is back at the top because of sighting
Thank you dog lost - 2016-07-04 14:03 Patlucky

- Well done all you helpers
- 2016-07-02 17:24 mathers22
- Just been down the road and on the canal for a look round. Lots of hiding spaces between the canal path and the main road. Lots of smells with people cooking on the barges and also the Village Pub. She was sighted very near to where Poppy was stolen last year, only yards actually x
- 2016-07-02 16:03 mathers22
- Yes Patlucky, the best one yet - just down the road in the village from me. I walk on the canal and up the road to my house twice a day and have never seen her at all. This was a sighting at 1.30am today so in the early hours of the morning. It was in the village of Salterforth and you never see a lone dog wandering there. I will go with Rory again later and see if I can see anything. I've suggested that members of the family go down about the same time tonight/morning xx
- 2016-07-02 15:53 Patlucky

- Hi, I walk around the Crown Point area most days with my dogs and looking for Heidi. Sorry no news but posters in place and many people are looking for her in this area. Stay strong :-)
- 2016-06-27 20:16 Patlucky
- Can anyone tell me how Heidi went missing please
Was it on a walk?
- 2016-06-27 20:10 Patlucky
- Hi Mathers I could not see another dog so not sure what I was doing wrong
I did read somewhere Heidi was a small dog.
What some see as small others see as big if you see what I mean
Will see if I can find where I read it.
No sightings at all? - 2016-06-27 19:36 mathers22
- Hi Patlucky the owners of the poor dog on the link below have been found and taken him to be cremated. I've been told by people who know Heidi that she is quite big xx
- 2016-06-27 14:37 Patlucky
- Mathers forget last message it is in fact Heidi
A lost advert
- 2016-06-27 14:32 Patlucky
- Mathers please check the small dog out. I read somewhere Heidi was small.
As she is Collie cross she probably is small - 2016-06-27 09:04 mathers22
- It says the poor dog on the link is a small dog so I don't think it is Heidi. There is also a video on Heidi's facebook page of a man with a dog that looks like Heidi, I can't see the video properly though. I think they are going to check it out xx
- 2016-06-27 08:40 Rocco
- I hope this isn't Heidi. Is it around the same area? Can somebody check it out with the local dog wardens? https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=282614452086553&id=100010140008450
- 2016-06-26 17:20 mathers22
- No updates at all Patlucky. There will be more posters with Heidi's latest photo ready for tomorrow so we will start distributing new ones then. No sightings. Lots of people checking everywhere when they walk their dogs xx

- Does anyone know about Moorland Rescue in this area. There is a big waterhole in the area Heidi went missing. Water Board don't come out for searches. Thank you. Xx
- 2016-06-24 19:34 mathers22
- There is a more recent photo of Heidi on her page and she looks an entirely different dog can anyone please put it on here. Identity have a clue. You wouldn't think the latest photo was Heidi xx
- 2016-06-23 22:26 mathers22
- People are still looking in the area where she went missing. I've walked Rory there today. There's been absolutely no sightings whatsoever xx
- 2016-06-23 19:32 Patlucky

- Think a Drone would help here if the area is so overgrown?
- 2016-06-21 11:30 mathers22
- If it is the farm dog that has been sighted we need to concentrate on the area where she went missing again. Again, that's a wilderness and has been checked lots of times. To be honest after hearing how Heidi went missing and about Heidi from the family I think it is impossible that she could have made it all the way to Burnley on foot unless she had been picked up. She is very timid and doesn't even go into town apparently. When dogs go missing or are found here in Barnoldswick people put them on Barnoldswick Talk and there's always someone who recognises them and they more often than not are soon back where they belong. That's why this is so strange !!

- Thank you for keep updating on here. This is the one place that all Doglost helpers and Co ordinators find any sightings and updates.Great job you all doing x

- Missing and Found Pets Burnley and Surrounding Areas facebook page.
- 2016-06-21 07:20 kyzar
- I have just seen a post on missing pets burnley, screen shot of a text message , there appears to be a dog from a farm at clough bottom that looks very much like Heidi that wanders often, the lady is waiting for confirmation this is the dog that has been seen around the area.
- 2016-06-20 22:55 mathers22
- We've been up and round the reservoir and surrounding areas for 4 hours tonight. It is so vast and wild and full of hiding places. We've put lots of posters up again, given them to dog walkers, called at farms etc. but nothing has come of it. We need a positive sighting of Heidi and if she is seen we need to know the exact location. We did see flattened grass under trees but could have been foxes I suppose. I did leave some cheese and treats there. Also I do think if she is sighted then we need a tracker dog xx

I have been posting over to Heidi's page
Reason is we still have people who DO NOT do face book
But thanks I think people will do that
As long as it gets the information on both brilliant

My fingers still crossed - 2016-06-20 21:09 Rocco
- Kyzar or anybody that has fresh information about Heidi, if you have access please post on Heidi's own facebook page. People will be instantly notified and can join in the search.

- I was wondering about a trap. I've not been able to search at Burnley yet. I was wondering if there was a search today. It's very quiet on her facebook page at the moment. Fingers crossed for her xx
- 2016-06-20 13:50 Patlucky
- Here with fingers crossed
As every day come home Heidi please - 2016-06-20 12:58 Unknown
- Sounds promising. Pawsxd. Could not a trap be set near where she has been seen, with scented items inside, and food? I know she is partially sighted, but may have a little sight, and anyway will follow the scent

Yes found it lower down the page.
I think there is a good chance it is her
You just all need to keep voices very low
Cant have any dog thinking they are being told off.
Mathers22 I so hope she will be back soon .
She is such a little love
So fingers crossed - 2016-06-19 22:08 mathers22
- Sorry I have been so long responding Patlucky I've been out and when we got home we had a power cut, it's only just come back on. I see you've now found her facebook page, someone is up there now by reading the post. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it definitely is Heidi and that she is soon safe xx
- 2016-06-19 17:09 Patlucky
- Found face book page ok thanks.
I know your busy updates please when and if
Still with fingers crossed here - 2016-06-19 15:45 Patlucky
- Mathers22 it must be frustrating.
Can I have a link please to Heidi's face book page.
When they are away for this long they get a bit feral
Making it harder best not to even call her maybe food.
A food station is a very good idea.
- 2016-06-19 15:33 mathers22
- There's been people up today with no sighting. Someone on Heidi's facebook page said she was seen on Friday but very scared. I've asked them if they think it was definitely Heidi xx
- 2016-06-18 20:19 Patlucky
- Thank you so much for the updates Kyzar and Mathers22
lets hope although helping the farmer does not ride the tractor much
It will scare the any dog off.
Heidi has been missing 11 days so 8 miles isn't that far in that time.
I do hope it is Heidi
If there are a few patient dog walkers that could be your answer.
Heidi will relate to another dog as all dogs do.
We had a rescue dog lost in this area lost that stayed in same field.
It was a lady with three GSDs that encouraged her home
Took some days so maybe luck will be with Heidi.
Dog lovers will go the extra mile
Fingers still crossed
- 2016-06-18 19:35 mathers22
- I don't know her exact age just that she is elderly. It is a long way for Heidi to have travelled (about 8 miles with her being elderly) unless someone has picked her up. She hasn't had a sighting in Barnoldswick since she bolted on her walk which is very unusual. Dogs are usually seen here and quickly reunited (everyone knows people and their dogs)with the exception of Poppy last year at this time when she was stolen and months later asked for money for her return xx
- 2016-06-18 19:22 kyzar
- I had a phone call about a possible sighting of Heidi in the fields close to the singing ringing tree from the lady who runs the rescue that Heidi was rehomed through, she spent hours with another lady walking through the fields this morning looking for her, i have been up teatime and walked through fields from the top of woodplumpton rd, just past the cattle grid i walked along the path in the fields to the ringing tree, but not seen anything and people i spoke to are aware of a dog up there, if this dog which looked like a german shepherd collie cross that came out of the long grass was Heidi how did she get so far from where she was lost ? and if it isnt Heidi then it appears there is another dog up there on the lose :(
- 2016-06-18 17:53 Patlucky
- When you are miles away as I am it feels so helpless
Wish I was nearer
However with you all in thought
Do you think the one spotted was Heidi?
How are the owners doing?
Silly question they must be worried sick.
How old is Heidi
A feed station is good and remember water I know you will - 2016-06-18 17:14 mathers22
- Thank you Patlucky. I'm back now. There is no news. Apparently a farmer went round the field on his tractor helping. They are thinking of a feed station in case and there's another search tomorrow. Someone(who helps find lost dogs, a facebook friend too) has just told me that this place rings a bell where another dog was sighted a bit back. The one on the link isn't Heidi the face is much thinner and pointed, but thanks xLast edited: 2016-06-18 17:15:17 by mathers22

- There's a dog at Leigh that looks similar but I'm not sure if a female and does look darker but please take a look just in case as pictures can make a dogs colouring look different depending on light https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154371366398083&set=gm.1626940044290432&type=3

Thanks Patlucky for posting the list.
If anyone wants to know Dog Warden details for each area they are all on the Animal Wardens site (link above). There maybe a few that are not updated as AW's rely on getting info when details change.
Also Council websites should have Dog Wardens details and some say which kennels they go to. The Animal Wardens cover a lot of Council's for the Out of Hours but not all.
Where dogs go missing and neighbouring area DW's should be contacted. - 2016-06-16 16:23 mathers22
- Thank you very much Patlucky will get this to everybody xx

- No nothing Patlucky. Nobody (including me) knows the likely places Heidi could have been taken to if she had been found. I would be grateful of some Rescues where she may have been taken then I can tell people to keep looking on there, me too. Thank you. Maybe some links xx

- There is a reward being offered now for information leading to the safe return of Heidi. I am giving flyers out to people to display in their cars and have asked local Taxi Drivers too xx
- 2016-06-14 23:46 Doglover
- Really hoping that local paper will do the trick. Xx
- 2016-06-14 22:26 mathers22
- Heidi isn't my dog Patlucky we aren't giving up. Hopefully she will be in the local papers too this weekend. She's a very quiet dog apparently, a rescue, and her eyesight will not be good without her medication. There are going to be more searches xx
- 2016-06-14 21:04 Patlucky
- Please don't feel deflated just don't give up.
Could she be caught up somewhere.
Would she bark is she heard you call her?
If you know where the dog would be if found please go and see for yourself
Rescue kennels that is
- 2016-06-14 16:19 mathers22
- I think we all set off with high hopes and came home deflated xx
- 2016-06-14 12:52 Doglover
- If no sightings, perhaps someone has found her and not reported her. Media coverage needed then.
- 2016-06-14 12:28 mathers22
- We've done a search this morning and had a sniffer dog but absolutely nothing. It is all wild with undergrowth and hiding places but absolutely no sightings, the sniffer dog didn't even get excited. Some more people are searching this afternoon, basically it's like she's vanished off the face of the earth. We are putting more posters up and flyers through doors xx
- 2016-06-14 11:08 Doglover
- Yes Hoping Heidi will be home today xxx
- 2016-06-14 09:09 Patlucky
- Good luck Mathers22 will be with you all in thought.
If seen please go low down and call with a very soft voice.
As she might think you are cross and then run.
Fingers crossed Heidi will be home today - 2016-06-13 22:29 mathers22
- Thanks everyone there is a search organised for 10 am in the morning I will let everyone know how it goes. They have also set up a facebook page for Heidi https://www.facebook.com/groups/516346161903493/

- Thanks Jan
Any chance you could get a couple of helpers to maybe go with mathers22
Think help maybe needed in an area with gates not nice trying when you are alone
Plus it isn't mathers22 dog they are just been helpful.
The dog is older I think and is going blind.
Also needs daily drops to stop her going blind .
I think help would be great fully received.
Do we have the owner following this page or searching please - 2016-06-13 20:24 Jan -North West and Police Liaison Coordinator
- Just going to share Heidi's Heidi to all local groups and twitter.
- 2016-06-13 20:22 Patlucky
- I have asked for help hope you get some.
The dog lost are very good .
On the left is a list if you click contact us.
They will get back to you.
It is a shame if the dog is caught somewhere
Good luck wish I was nearer - 2016-06-13 12:58 mathers22
- I think help and advise is needed here. I've just been to the area she is lost in. I used to live close by and had forgotten how wild, grassy and the number of places there are for a dog to hide when frightened. There are also two closed gates (I don't think anyone has asked the owners to open them) which need thoroughly searching. I have tried on facebook to emphasise this but nothing. I'm getting worried because it's a week tomorrow and there hasn't been a sighting at all xx

- This is in my area I think they will need lots of assistance in where to look. I've just looked at the Leigh Cats and Dogs home one and that isn't Heidi. Heidi is smaller and has longer hair. Hopefully soon they will upload a photo. She does have impaired sight and needs drops to stop her going blind xxLast edited: 2016-06-11 11:30:52 by mathers22
