Spoken to owner and Sophie - can we change rhe name please - escaped out of the front door of her owners home in Ashburton Road, Whitley, Reading and ran off down the street. Council street cleaners spotted her trotting along the road and she was picked up by a woman in the maroon rover car. reading and wokingham dog wardens and all rescues in the area been notified. will email details to friend at reading police station to ensure such a dog has not been checked into the kennels at the nick - although this was 1.30pm on a weds so the dog would have been taken straight to reading dog warden by the police. owner is ringing sara at the reading evening post and karl at the reading chronicle today for media coverage and I am just about to send over to anna at reading 107fm,w ho is also a doglover!

So sorry to hear this. Make Sophia too hot to handle !!!! Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Sophia well. Stay safe girl, until we find you x
