Mel from Alfie's has put Marley into Dog Training Weekly.  Thank you ever so much Mel, the more national coverage he gets the better chance we have of getting him home.

Delete I have had a call from the editor of Dogs Today and Marley should be in the December issue which is out now.  This might bring the news we are waiting for.04/12/2009helencrowther
Delete We have no further calls from the man who said he has been offered a dog for sale......We will poster that area of Rotherham at the weekend.03/12/2009helencrowther
Delete That sounds interesting and a possible good lead. Any sight of the dog at the supermarket? I was wondering if all the postering there might have scared the people with the dog off? Might be an idea to check all the supermarkets in the area in case they've switched. shopping destinations

Delete Had a call today from a man claiming that someone has tried to sell him a dog he now thinks is Marley - the caller seemed quite genuine, and said that he is going to try and find the man who was selling the dog.  He was very interested in the reward, so hopefully this might be it !!!30/11/2009helencrowther

We have spend another day in Catcliffe, but still no sign of the dog seen.  I plan to spend tomorrow sitting in Morrision's cafe (with a view to getting some work done), and looking out the window waiting for this rough collie to turn up.

We spoke to a few dog walkers to day and gave them all posters.  I'm going to get onto Hallam FM tomorrow (early) to try and get on the breakfast show, will also ask them to mention Cry (20708) if I can.

Delete I would be careful when confronting someone with your dog. If there is any trouble at all call the police and insist they attend. As he is microchipped you can soon prove to them he is your dog. Good luck x22/11/2009Phoenix57

This sounds very promising indeed. being tied up outside the shop? Good time to grab the lead and wait for the person to come out. A bad practice could well work to your advantage here.

Hoping you are heading for an early reunion.

We have spent the afternoon postering at Morrison's and the Catcliffe area of Sheffield.  Spoke the the security guard at Morrison's who has also seen the dog that looks similar to Marley a few time this week tied up outside the shop.  He has taken my number and will ring if he sees it again.

We will be back there tomorrow, and if the weather is better take Star and do the dog walking area's.

Two sightings this week one of which is very credible which came via Kate in Sheffield, of Marley being in the same area of Sheffield.

We are going to blitz the area this weekend with Marley posters and talk to people, so see if we can find out where this dog is living (as he has been seen with people).

I think this is the most positive lead we have had since he went missing, and really hope this is it!!!!

I have had an email from Dearne FM who have mentioned both Marley and Cry (20708) on the breakfast show this morning.  I will give Hallam FM a bash tomorrow.  No luck yet with either Look North or Calendar....but I will continue to try.

Thanks Keo61 - I have taken a look and this is not Marley.  I am very grateful that everyone is continuing to look for Marley.

Delete There's a dog on Albery Dog Rescue who looks a bit like Marley - it's a bit hard to tell as the picture is quite small but you may want to check it out.  His name is Laddie at top of page - link is

After emailing the Editor of the Rotherham Advertiser nearly everyday for the past several weeks he has finally given in.

He has done a story on Marley, which is in both the Rotherham Advertiser and the Dearne Valley Weekender and it mentions the bigger reward - so with any luck this might bring some good news.

Delete Helen this is very good news and very generous of Marleys Facebook friend to make such an offer !!! Hopefully with someone offering such  a large reward the papers may run his story again ..........especially the  Chronicle as they were interested in the Facebook angle of Marleys story. Did you get him into the Doncaster Free press ? if not try again with the story of this reward offer ! Pam xx09/11/2009Jumanji - Regional Co-ordinator
