Delete Hi Sian's mum. Just to let you know I am going to be in the West Country for 3 or 4 days this week. I have Sian's poster with me and will keep a look out. She hasn't been forgotten. Alison x24/11/2009Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
Delete Sorry Pat - didn't mean to give you an anxious weekend! - I should have taken your phone number and called you back straightaway, but didn't want to be a nuisance! sent you a mssge last night but it seems to have failed/got lost!   Best Wishes.  Val28/07/2009sian's mum

Oh Val, I am so sorry it's not Sian. I was really keeping everything crossed it might have been her. I was wondering all weekend if it was.

With regard to your phone call from Chew Magna, I would have thought it was someone being very cruel to you. I'm not sure how you could follow up any leads in this direction anyway now?

I sincerely hope you do find her one day safe and sound. There are a lot of people out there that have not forgotten about her so any news of a Rough Collie turning up, I'm sure you will hear about quickly!

All the very best

Pat

TO ALL AND EVERY ONE WHO STILL CHECKS SIAN'S PAGE - THANK YOU. I would love to know what you think about this; within a few days of Sian going missing and with posters out and about, my (grown up) son took a phone call on the landline number on the posters, from a "withheld number"; conversation went thus - "have you lost your dog, mate?" "yes - do you know where she is?" "yea, mate, plastered all over my tyres (laughter in the background)" "where are you calling from?" "Chew Magna, mate" - then the caller hung up. Being optimistic of finding her very soon, we discounted this as a cruel/sick hoax for a long time but have wondered since whether or not there could have been any truth in it. Does this sound like any kind of genuine call to you? Is this the kind of information we should trust?

All Best Wishes ,   Val  (Sian's mum)

Hi Pat - sorry I haven't been in touch to thank you so much for the info and alert - the found dog had been taken to White House Kennels to which I raced, with Sian's special "blue ballie" just in case... the dog led out for me to see was instantly obviously not Sian, she was much smaller than a Rough but maybe a bit bigger than a Sheltie without the more pointed facial features of the Sheltie (maybe a Rough/Sheltie cross?)  - an emotional moment, but it is so good to be given some hope than to have no hope and no news. The little girl was obviously well cared for and do so hope her family find her very soon. I've left a message on the "dogs found" section. Thanks again so much for thinking of us and calling. I saw that a lost Lurcher (Bristol area) was found "the other end of the country"! This is I suppose how Sian could have disappeared so completely. Local opinion apparently is that she must have been hit by a car and crept off to hide and die; I can't think that's right because someone would know, or find something; and I have looked every, hedges, ditches, verges etc.

Hope all is well with you and your lovely companions.

Val

Delete Dear Mum of Barney n Ozzie - thank you so much for keeping an eye on Sian's page, which is a great support. Sorry I haven't replied before - haven't been on the site for a while. We still retain the feeling that she is out there somewhere, and as you say Wales is not out of the question! Thanks again.  love from Val10/07/2009sian's mum
Delete Hi Sian's mum. I can only imagine what you must be going through, but please rest assured that Sian has not been forgotten. There's a rough collie on today's found pages which I'm hoping we'll get more info on - found in Wales, so not out of the question. I hope and pray you get some good news soon. Delete DREADING THE SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF HER DISAPPEARANCE; LIFE STILL CANNOT BE THE SAME, HER SITUATION/WELFARE IS STILL OUR EVERYDAY CONCERN, AN EVERYDAY ANGUISH. WHY DO WE NOT HAVE ANY NEWS?29/05/2009sian's mum

Still grievously missing her, still looking; followed her likely route the other night and thinking she could not have walked/run far, especially uphill on a narrow lane - she must have been picked up and moved on.

Can't wait until we can surprise you all with positive news, or at least some news; nothing is worse than no news.

Thanks to all her many friends.

Delete Thanks to all and any who still keep an eye out for Sian, especially Millie's Mum - the last to leave a message; we are still positive of getting some information, one way or another - the mystery and the pain don't go away - I had a dream a couple of days ago, that I came down to let Ritchie out and there were 2 dogs waiting to go out - I said "Is it really you ,Sian " and we had a great cuddle ... end of dream.15/02/2009sian's mum

Delete Still miss Sian so much- someone must know something, she can't be nowhere, dead or alive, there must be someone or something to tell us what has happened to her. I t is an every day misery and devastation. Still looking and hoping. Please don't forget her - of all our Roughs over 30+ years, she is the most amazing personality, intelligent, knowing, communicative, and how much do we all love her. HELP. 21/10/2008sian's mum

HOORAY! I can get on this site again. Can't think how much hassle and hard work all the lovely dog-lost people have put in to resurrect it for the sake of so many - THANK YOU SO MUCH - and ************** to those damned hackers. NO  news of Sian, still terribly missed and not out of our thoughts  and concerns for hardly a minute. Our suspicions have become focussed but what to do about it?

Best Wishes to All.
